I can see the point of F/B for keeping in touch with people. I don't particularly want to keep in touch with anyone that I do not already keep in touch with
. I joined because I wanted to re-acquaint with someone I was very good friends with at one time and found her eldest daughter, which was nice. So I got all the news and gave mine. Then I received umpteen emails saying, "A friend of ..... wants to be friends with you" - every day! It freaked me so I deactivated my F/B account. It had served its purpose. Husband and offspring use it, not that much but they quite like it.
Friends Reunited gave me access to old school friends which was quite interesting, then a chap I had known years before sent me a whole load of inappropriate messages so I stopped using that.
