Sass, I got that anyone who speaks in God's name or the name of any other god, without Him commanding it, shall die.  Also that the crowd said Herod spoke with the voice of a god, but Herod didn't say he was a god.

God spoke for himself in his own words. Are you really so ignorant of the bible that you cannot tell the difference between the bible references and someone repeating what God said in them. :o  You seem insistent on making yourself look silly.

Sass it is you who is making yourself look silly, with your daft assertions. ::) You may want to believe the Bible is the 'word' of god, but you cannot provide the slightest bit of evidence it is so.  Like you the Biblical authors are imagining what their version of god is thinking, and making it out to be a complete psychopath in the process, imo.

He did die, as God said he would.
Were you there in the Garden? Were you God? Do you know what God was thinking or Adam?
In Genesis 3 we see why Adam died that day both spiritually and physically.

22 And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

In the earlier chapter Adam and Eve given the right to eat from the tree of life.
In Genesis 3 it was taken away. So he died that day because the one thing that would keep him alive was removed from him.
So he slowly died and he finally did.

Die, die is the Hebrew wording.

However you dress it up, God said Adam would die the same day but he didn't.

We have heard all your posturing before.

God lied. Simple as that.

It was there in the POST...

The above in the post did you skip it?

And this was also in the post...

20 But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die.

Did you skip that too?

Herod didn't, though.

And there have been many, many people claiming to be gods (and/or Jesus) since then

Krishna spoke for himself in his own words. Are you really so ignorant of the Bhagavad Gita that you cannot tell the difference between the Gita references and someone repeating what Krishna said in them. :o  You seem insistent on making yourself look silly.

[my emphasis]

Yes, I've always thought the moderators give the Christians an easy ride too.

In other news, God hasn't closed the forum. That means he must not exist.

Or he disagrees with Sassys take on it ;)

God knows very well that we all like posting here, it is beneficial to our health, we exercise our brains (and fingers), read different points of view and learn new things so he sees the R&E forum as a good thing and will not close it.
