No, I'm the forum person for sitting around looking decorative. I don't think anyone's noticed that I never stop painting my nails long enough to do any work.

That has already been done.

I saw that one but it is about this forum.   Sorry, I thought you were wondering about the nglr forum.  Well, you were puzzling as to why it gets new members who don't post and could start a thread on there asking them.  I don't think you'll get much response though.

Oh fair enough, it doesn't really matter then.  We all fade away from forums but I like this one, it's lively and has an interesting cross section of posters.

I think this forum is the best one on which I post.

Me too though I only post occasionally on one other but this is certainly very good.

Hi Bramble.  Just read your introduction.  Hope you enjoy yourself here.
Are your, or your friends'/relatives', garages, lofts or sheds full of unused DIY gear, sewing/knitting machines or fabric and haberdashery stuff?

Lists of what is needed and a search engine to find your nearest collector (scroll to bottom for latter) are here:  http://www.twam.uk/donate-tools

But why should SMF attract much more spam than other forum providers, if that is the case?

I (more years ago that I care to think about) was a Mod on a site related to a Pagan Group and for every "Real" membership request the site received there were, at the very least, twenty-five or thirty spams - most from eastern Europe.
