Except you have the problem of saying how you get ideas of Good and bad out of a bundle of random processes.
That's easy to explain.

I've been listening to people trying to do this for 50+ years, Shaker, and I've yet to hear or read a cogent explanation.
Are your, or your friends'/relatives', garages, lofts or sheds full of unused DIY gear, sewing/knitting machines or fabric and haberdashery stuff?

Lists of what is needed and a search engine to find your nearest collector (scroll to bottom for latter) are here:  http://www.twam.uk/donate-tools

After all that time I would be starting to suspect that it's a comprehension problem on your part. After all, there's history aplenty in that regard.

Hang on though Floo is coming from a different direction from you. You see God as the god who can be blamed....,an extra one that sits in your pantheon. Floo is an atheist.

Rubbish - the Christian God has no place whatsoever in my pantheon - anywhere.

The Gods and Goddesses in my pantheon are subject to all the foibles amd shortcomings of the humans that they are deities to. They show pride, anger, lust, narcissism et cetera - unlike your God, which was the point of my comment , who takes credit for everything good and denies all responsibilty fior anything bad; blaming all those things on his "perfect" creation - man.

I am aware of that argument and you are free to make it being of your persuasion.
But can a theist such as Owlswing piggyback on it?

If you take man out of the world who will fly the planes into buildings? If you take man out of the world who will hate anyone else? If you take man out of the world who will carry bombs on planes and blow trains and tube stations up with bombs in rucksacks?

The good things in the world.. plants for food and the seasons to grow them came from God.
Without the God and creation man could not exist to do those evil things.
If man accepted the good and created good things for themselves among themselves where would evil live?

So maybe just think about the truth of those words.

Talk about nonsense! By your reasoning - the only thing we need to do to achieve a perfect world is to remove all mankind from it - including you - and leave it to the animals and plants!

How do you know what size it is? Guesswork? Just the same as you use to justify your religious beliefs?

How are you using the term 'pantheon' it is described as a name belonging to all gods. Funnily enough it is applied to the best preserved ancient temple in Rome. Erected by Hadrian, A.D.120-4, it occupied the site of a previous temple built by Agrippa in 27 B.C, concecrated 609. It is now the Church of Santa Maria Rotonda.

Pantheism Metaphysical doctrine which identifies the universe with God. The term "all-God,"  introduced by John Toland, 1705 denotes a system of thought, or attitude of mind traceable in ancient India, in certain of the Greek philosophers and in such more modern philosophers as Spinoza, Fichte, Schelling and Hegel. A form of Monism, it is a theism or an atheism according to the emphasis placed upon personality.

Seems you have a lot to choose from... ::)

Did one of your gods give you that?

Seems that you mistook what was being said... That evil exists in the world because of man. Man commits the evil.
I suppose your gods are not all-knowing so we have to overlook the fact you will not be all-knowing either.

Paul in Greece points out the Altar to an unknown God.

22 Then Paul stood in the midst of Mars' hill, and said, Ye men of Athens, I perceive that in all things ye are too superstitious.

23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, To The Unknown God. Whom therefore ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you.

24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;

25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things;

26 And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation;

27 That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us:

28 For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring.

29 Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device.

30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:

31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

32 And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked: and others said, We will hear thee again of this matter.

33 So Paul departed from among them.

34 Howbeit certain men clave unto him, and believed: among the which was Dionysius the Areopagite, and a woman named Damaris, and others with them.

Guess you didn't know Athens had an altar for an unknown god. Surprisingly you had never heard of that god either.

How are you using the term 'pantheon'

A pantheon is a group of deities particular to one mythology - thus, the Norse pantheon (Odin, Thor, etc); the Hindu pantheon (Shiva, Vishnu, etc), the Irish pantheon (Nuada, Danu, etc).

it is described as a name belonging to all gods. Funnily enough it is applied to the best preserved ancient temple in Rome.

As in 'belonging to all the gods of the Greek pantheon'. Which was why it was called 'the pantheon' in Greek...

Right. God is so tiny-minded that he cares about making sure we all use the correct toilet cubicle.

To be fair though Hope's post has given me my first laugh out loud of the evening.

That led me to imagine tearing off the little male/female signs on all the toilet doors, forcing god into an existential crisis.
A lot of people don't believe that the loch ness monster exists. Now, I don't know anything about zooology, biology, geology, herpetology, evolutionary theory, evolutionary biology, marine biology, cryptozoology, palaeontology or archaeology... but I think... what if a dinosaur got into the lake?
