If this topic has been covered before, sorry, I never saw it. Just found it on MSN and it seems to tie in with the 'Consciousness' thread, so I've put it here.http://www.msn.com/en-gb/money/technology/scientists-have-finally-proven-that-there-is-life-after-death-but-we-might-not-be-going-to-heaven/ar-BBtef9I?li=BBoPWjQ&ocid=mailsignoutI find it most disturbing and think I would like to lie in state for a week before being embalmed, never worried about such things before. Spooky.
Not my words ippy, I was quoting the title of the article which makes a lot out of the fact that there is consciousness for a short while after organs stop working. A bit alarmist really on first glance but not anything we don't already know.
I'll go with you on that much, there was an article in the "New Scientist" a while back about the conciousness of those in the French revolution that had just had their heads cut off and still seemed to be aware for a while, morbid yes but sort of interesting, provided you're not actually there.ippy
Blop Blop HughieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeHurp, Ruuuuuuuttttttttthhhhhhhhhhhhhh.Modded to reduce long strings of letters that screw up page formatting, especially for those using phones.
Whoops, sorry GordonMany Apologieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees
Not a problem, Vlad: happens now and then.I removed an awful lot of the letters you used, but I think in deciding how many to leave I managed to retain the sense of what you originally said!
Say what now?Surely some mistake.
Yes you managed to preserve the essence of what I was trying to catch...........
