If he is saying that the force which created the universe and life is "intelligent", we will have to revise our understanding of the word.

The headline "Scientist says he found definitive proof that God exists" is blatantly untrue.

Science doesn't do definitive proof.

Science is about evidence that supports or falsifies hypotheses.

There seems to be little in the video that relates to "god" in any way other than the "mind of god" to mean the "way the universe works" as used by Hawking and others.

The quotes reproduced in the text do not come from the video and I can only find them articles with remarkably similar wording. One of which has another video (which also doesn't contain the quotes) in which he talks about god in the sense used by Einstein ("Spinoza's God").

In any event, there isn't even any evidence for String Theory yet (which is what he was talking about in the first video) let alone tachyons and whatever his latest idea about them is (not in either video, despite the quote).

Nothing in any of the videos or quotes refers to evidence of god. Michio Kaku may believe in some sort of god but there is no actual evidence (or even claims of evidence) in any of this. Even if the quotes are correct, they appear to be no more than personal opinions.

Have to agree with SKoS.

The video is fine but has nothing to do with proving the existence God, even if Michio Kaku does believe in the physical existence of such an entity (I doubt that he does actually).

Where is the link to the paper  in which he is making this claim based on tests on “primitive semi – radius tachyons“? Indeed, where is he getting these tachyons?

Well, he obviously hasn't discovered tachyons, that would be bigger news than the Higgs boson. It all looks a bit suspicious to me. If he actually made this argument somewhere, in detail, it might be interesting - but, if so, where is it?

Dear Corrie,

God is a mathematician, nah! seems to me what the man is saying as he waffles on about string theory, God is spotty nosed teenager, strumming away on his electric guitar, sitting sullenly in some corner of the Universe and thinking, Man! no body understands me.

...God is spotty nosed teenager...

Oi, that's my theology!

  • The universe was created by Kevin - a spotty teenager in a higher dimensional universe, who was given a new physics set for his birthday. We are but his playthings.

If it wasn't for the acne he wouldn't need a new universe :)

From the article
Headline;

Scientist says he found definitive proof that God exists.

Detail;
The theoretical physicist Michio Kaku claims to have developed a theory that might point to the existence of God.

Move along folks, nothing to see here.......
