Is there anybody here who actually believes or even KNOWS whether the spirit, the thing inside our bodies that 'thinks' & moves it around, is male or female ?!!?!?

I assumed you didn't mean 'God' Trippy, just our own spirit. I've never thought about that before, I suppose I unconsciously believed that, as I am of the female gender, so is my spirit.
Anyway I found this on a site called 'Quora' (which is a quite bizarre site in some ways but there isn't much on the 'net about this, only about God), and I note it doesn't differentiate between soul and spirit:

The Soul is outside of the polarity of male/female, having both energies within. So it's always a mistake, or perhaps a great bending of concept, to call a Soul as "he" or "she".
Having said that, it is possible that on some level, at some point in time, by its characteristics, traits, preferences, and general ways of being, that a Soul, for a time, identifies itself - or chooses to manifest itself to others - as one specific gender, or alignment.
The Universe, after all, is fundamentally divided in Divine Feminine and Divine Masculine (or may be considered in these two base components at a conceptual level).
