An alternate solution for Brexit? (AKA who needs Article 50?)

Instead of invoking Article50 why don't England and Wales just declare independence from the UK?
By default (as we know from the Scottish indyref) they will then no longer be part of the EU and can only get back in if they reapply.
The English and Welsh are happy

Scotland NI (and Gibraltar?) become the UK.
The UK parliament votes to ignore the referendum.
The UK remains in the EU.
The Irish and Scots are happy.

The banks move their brass plaques from London up to Edinburgh.
We all keep the pound.

What's not to like?

Alternatively:

We could just send everyone who actually wants to be out of the EU to the Isle of Mann which has never been in.

Only if London and its immediate, remain voting, environs can opt to opt out of leaving the UK ;)

You might have something there.

But we keep the Queen , Bank of England and the pound. The Scots can use the Euro.  ;)  :P

That would ensure that the powerhouses of the UK economy, London and the Scottish oil remained together - the rest of England and Wales would be economically foooked as they say :D

Or move Edinburgh to London, not so far to go the fringe then.
I would keep the queen, reassess the monarchy some years after she has gone.  All the male royals wear kilts anyway so no change there for the present.  I do not care about the £ one way or the other.
