I think they are gorgeous.  Could do with a step to get on, saves having to clamber up.  If I had a really huge garden with a secluded bit, it would be lovely to have one there, maybe under a big oak tree (& giant toadstools nearby).  Lovely!

There should be one in every public park. There is no reason why adults should always be expected to behave like adults.

I have a photo of one of my daughters taken when she was a teenager sitting on a giant sized chair at some event we attended. I can't remember where that was though.

Far away!  Well out of sight of me.

Don't like them at all, too bright and garish, too big.

Being short, I have enough problems not being able to sit comfortably in many chairs /benches anyway, therefore having these isn't going to appeal.

Nothing worse than having the blood supply cut off because you can't put your feet to the ground, really uncomfortable. I get that now, without adding these monstrosities.

 

I absolutely hate those tall bar stools too.

Tall bar stools are difficult when you slide off, you have further to fall  .
The benches could be stone coloured, or beige - some are actually.  You could tuck your legs up so feet aren't swinging.

At my school there was a "Disgrace Bench";  picture a small girl sitting on one on her own but conspicuous as everyone passes her, going about their business.  My mental image of that is of someone quite tiny sitting on a big bench - so not much different really.
