Five day old baby was thumped by man in Manchester
« on: September 07, 2016, 11:42:57 AM »
He said he thought it was a doll.

How disgusting is that?  >:(

I hope the baby is ok.

Some people are just disgusting.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-manchester-37294307

It made me cross, had the parents and onlookers clobbered him back I wouldn't have had much sympathy for him  >:(

There are times when I can sympathise with people who take the law into their own hands.

I think I'd have killed the asshole!  >:(

Just as well we don't have guns like  in the states, that would have been a dead man walking if it was my baby that was five days old  >:(

If it was my child, he would not yet have come round in hospital!

The parents should have battered him senseless.

I would have some sympathy but that doesn't make it right. The correct course of action is to convict him in a court of law and put him in prison for a bit.

You are quite correct of course.

I very much doubt he will go to prison.

The time for justice has passed, and nothing will happen.

I hope the piece of evil scum is banged up for a long time. Taking the law into one's own hands, however tempting that might be, isn't wise, two wrongs don't make a right.

What is it about this particular offence that makes him evil scum?

Maybe he is just an idiot with anger management issues.

If you describe everybody who breaks the law as "evil scum" the phrase becomes meaningless.

No I am not. Of course it is wrong to break the law, but some crimes are greater than others, hitting a tiny baby is indefensible.

No, I'm criticising your penchant for characterising anybody who breaks the law as "an evil piece of scum".

Garbage that isn't true!

It is a characterization you resort to quite often:

Another piece of scum outed, I have no sympathy for Vaz whatsoever!

ah but Vaz only made it to scum, not evil scum, there are gradations of scum

and if not scum there is always the sanity clause:

If he's suffering from some mental illness we need to treat him and hopefully cure him. Regardless, he needs to be put on trial for assault.
