It does make you wonder how daft and gullible some of the US citizens are?

Actually it does.

FiveThirtyEight's forecast has Hillary on an 81% chance of winning now. Just before the debate, the same figure was 55%.

Unless there is more of this article than I could access, I read what he said about Hilary Clinton and her Satanic influences manifesting themselves in lies but there was nothing at all about Trump.  I had expected him to do the same number on Mr Trump.  So, apart from him appearing to be unbalanced, the guy's speech is in need of some balance.  Plus, he obviously supports Trump.

I suspect that you may have missed the point - which I perceive to be that right wing (in American terms) is the natural home of extreme "religious" views. Since Trump is clearly a right-wing candidate,  the religious nut will not be attacking him.

Yes but I couldn't help living in hope, HH.  Looking at the picture of the man, there is something (to me at any rate) rather 'sixties' about him - not Charles Manson type of 'sixties' but an ageing hippy type.   Add to that the bizarre name of his party, he could have been quite different.

So, when I started reading the speech I thought he was a bit bonkers but didn't expect him to be pro-Trump.

I tend to over-analyse things and miss the obvious.  Well never mind.

It looks as if Senior Republicans are very fed up with Trump.

Ha. I like this (FTA): "Mr Trump himself stressed that there was "zero chance I'll quit", adding that he was getting "unbelievable" support."

I can't believe he has got any support either.

He has the support of Americans who agree with his racist, sexist and homophobic views. I suspect he would like to bring back the colour bar, make it illegal to be gay and have women dancing attendance on men!

And there is more!

It sounds as if last night's 'debate' between Clinton and Trump was as bad as an episode of the Jeremy Kyle show, if not worse!

The man is appalling, but what does all this say about the system that got him there? . . . and could still conceivably get him in the Whitehouse?

How about this?

At the first debate on September 26 Trump said that Hillary Clinton lacked the stamina to be President.

Then on October 9, he said "She doesn’t quit, she doesn’t give up. I respect that. I tell it like it is. She’s a fighter. I disagree with much of what she’s fighting for. I do disagree with her judgement in many cases. But she does fight hard, and she doesn’t quit, and she doesn’t give up, and I consider that to be a very good trait.”

They claim it is fabricated.

However, Trump's claim that if Hillary gets to be president she'll trash America is so stupid and desperate the guy is finished. But as John Gray said this isn't about Trump but about the disaffected voters in future elections at all levels.

In the Donald's brave new world, Hilary's bound for the nick. Now, apparently, so are her lawyers..... http://m.motherjones.com/politics/2016/10/donald-trump-says-hell-imprison-hillary-clintons-lawyers-too If I were her office cleaners, I'd get an arrow embroidered suit on hire.

Trump was nearly OUT some time back. Now Hillary seems to be having problems with the FBI again.  Trump is now just one point behind Clinton, I understand.

What do you think?

I think the whole thing is a farce; you couldn't make it up. Even the FBI's actions here seem totally out of character as if they (Comey) have planned this to get at Hilary....?

Could it be that the publicising of the Congressman's sexting has been timed to ensure that something ran into the juggernaut that is HC's election campaign this close to polling day?

That's what it looks like. I heard something of this on the RT programme Going Underground a few months back but when the FBI closed the email investigation I just assumed the guy got it wrong. This, however, fits in exactly to what he/she said. Still, it is very strange and puzzling.

I am reluctant to comment on this thread in case it influences the outcome.

That would be  poor electoral process on my part.

Could the timings of the accusations against Trump have  been designed to ensure that something ran into his campaign?

I think a Pirate party was tried in a European country somewhere but fell apart because they couldn't agree on policy issues. There is always a need for leadership and some form of hierarchy.
