Thanks to Nearly
« on: October 24, 2016, 04:58:16 PM »
I've largely stepped away from this mb now, posting only when something particularly takes my interest. I do though want to thank Nearly specifically for posting links to various articles that take his interest. They take mine too, and I'm grateful for his/your commitment to doing it.

They are very interesting, NS, and I thank you too.  I enjoy reading them, some more than once, even if I don't think of a response.  So ta very much.

Many of then are just things I find interesting and are going to be hard to generate discussion from.

I enjoy these - well some of them. Some go over my head. So I ignore them and stick to the ones I understand. It's a bit like Juke Box Jury (grief I'm old) some hits, some misses, but always worth tuning in.

But that wasn't Juke Box Jury.

On Juke Box Jury records were either "Hit" or "Miss".

Trent said, ' some hits, some misses' as well as quoting Janice Nicholls.
Isn't it funny, though, that a teenage girl's midlands accent was so notable then?  We wouldn't even comment on it now.

I agree with OP. I tend not to go to links, but it is nice to know they are there to go to if I choose.
