No, it is an excellent quote because it replies succinctly to a question you asked. That it contains a view with which you do not agree, does not reduce its quality.
actually , you are quite right ,it was

I think after an economic crash, you often get demagogues.   The ones on the right tend towards white nationalism, and scapegoat minorities, such as Jews and Muslims.   They are usually misogynistic, and offer half-baked economic solutions, which don't add up.

On the bright side, Farage is not a fascist.  I think the economy is too robust for that, but if there was another crash or a long depression, he would probably be replaced by the real thing.   Let's hope the 30s are not being repeated.

I once read Lord Reith's biography. After the BBC he was at a bit of an end. Concerned with his welfare many in the establishment stated that 'he must be found a role''.

Has Nigel Farage reached that position among the celebrity wing of the great and good where he needs to be found a role?....and if so what role.

Prime Minister.

Prime Minister.
Well the GBP have stymied that. Because they loved FPTP there was no way he could get a representative number of seats and because there were too many tories in Thanet he couldn't get a parliamentary seat.

As he would say the people have spoken and he must ''gerrover it!''

I think what you say though is indicative of a vague hope that Farage might achieve high office through some kind of irresistible public acclaim.

This is typical cultural imperialism. They export their television, their hamburgers, their music. They want us to like their pansy version of rugby.

Now you want us follow them politically and elect an arsehole fuckwit for our leader.

I think certain Faragistas want to set up some group to change the UK to a ''direct democracy''........ To which we will be entitled to ask each other ''who the fuck elected you?''

Was watching the Andrew Marr Show this morning, and it was suggested by Peter Hitchens of the Mail on Sunday that the famous post-election picture of Trump and Farage is a fake - in that the guy who it claims to be Trump looks more like a Trump-double.

Any thoughts?
Are your, or your friends'/relatives', garages, lofts or sheds full of unused DIY gear, sewing/knitting machines or fabric and haberdashery stuff?
