JD Sports is launching an investigation into working conditions at its Kingsway distribution centre after a report by Channel 4 found workers complaining it was "worse than a prison".

Anyone else see this last night. Maybe I am naive, but was just astonished that people could be working in these conditions in the uk in this day and age - seemed actually worse than Sports Direct - and it seems JD sports have benefited from the Sports Direct's recent adverse publicity.

What has happened to worker rights, union representation, simple consideration for the workers? What sort of bubble are the executives in that that they can claim they didn't know what was going on? What is the situation of those working for other retailers, high street or internet? Even worse to think about what is going on in those countries where these goods are actually manufactured.

Ah, but I was so much older then ... I'm younger than that now
