Our Christmas has been especially blessed with the arrival our new grandson, Charlie.  Just returned from Christmas Mass earlier this evening (he slept through it).  And it was a wonderful joy to be able to give thanks for this precious gift of new life.

Wishing you all the joy and happiness that Christmas can bring.

I'll bet the poor kid'll have religion stuffed down it's throat morning noon and night for most of it's young life just to make sure it's as equally as indoctrinated as you are, I dare say you've started on the poor thing already.

But quite a few of us know that what we were told as children and that must be believed is FALSE. And a *biggrin* really does not work in this context.

Happy new year  :)

I wish you a happy new year too, but fortunatly for me, unlike you, I've not been indoctrinated into anything like the nonsense you're into and I do know exactly what I'm missing, and you are very welcome to your fairtarytale beliefs, most of us manage to grow out of Hansel and Grettle in the end.

I'm sure you're a very good bloke, good neibhbour and all of that, but your religious views?

I'm glad it is all over for another year, supposed to be going out to dinner today but doubt I will.  I'm so tired, just want to go back to bed (for a year).  Christmas day was lovely though, thoroughly enjoyed it.  Birthday over, 2017 is within touching distance and I hope will be a better one for us all.
I am going to be fairly quiet on here for a little while, don't want to affect others with my depression, but will see you all soon.

My first New Years day meal is going to be...

I am doing a stewing steak casserole with roast potatoes in duck fat and rosemary.
With buttery mashed potatoes and leek gravy.

With home made sherry trifle for dessert. I make one for my friend too, her grown up sons, (one a chef) love the old fashioned sherry trifle.

It was our own Spanish Rick who reminded us of this saying a couple of years back now. Hope his greeting is doing him some good.
And apparently the best scottish saying of wishing someone a long and a healthy life.

So to friend present and not present especially our lovely Leonard, Honey Monster and he who shall not be named 'ricky Spanish' all the best.
