No, but when the number of new threads and posts dropped to an all time low in August, as a mod I worried about the forum keeping going. One easy way to up the thread rate was to start them myself. So that's what I'm doing.

Poor Ed - he is someone who always came across (to me anyway) as having an awkwardness that didn't promote him as having gravitas. HIGNIFY regularly showed clips of him trying to look serious or witty but he never seemed to quite manage it

Huh!  If only the 'flu meant having the sniffles.

Gordon, I felt the same way about Ed but since he has no longer been LP leader, he is a different man.  I've seen and heard him on TV a couple of times and he's relaxed, gently humourous, quite charming.   Which goes to show it's tough at the top.
