A while ago before I moved to a new home, the lay out of the road outside of my previous house affected where people could park, that house could have vehicles parked within about two meters of the front window and when the vehicle was a van, Transit size up, not only did it restrict the view, that was extreemly unpleasent in itself, it also conciderably darkend down the available light into the room.
I did have a word with the owners of the vans that parked in front of our front window and must have got it right because it was very rare to have any vans park there anymore.
With the afore mentioned problem in mind I have some sympathy with this recent news item about a no parking vans covenent in the deeds of houses on an estate, caravans can be a very similar problem to the residents that don't have them, I wouldn't want a caravan permenently parked near to my place; I don't think there is any easy answer that can supply an ideal answer about how we deal with these large vehicles parked so near to our private houses.
