Anyone seeking elected office and who already has a public profile would ensure they were scrupulous in respect of the accuracy of information about themselves in the public domain - this guy is clearly an incompetent liar given he has been so easily undone by stuff he has no excuse for not knowing about, especially since some of the misinformation was in place for quite some time before he was rumbled.

He lied about the Ph.D and the professional footballing and either is lying about not knowing about the statement quoting him on his website, or was happy for people to write quotes from him that were untrue and not check what was on his website, making him a liar and an incompetent.
