Yes, because nobody in British politics is sexist in that way... oh, wait.

It was just an initial reaction to seeing some of the material that floats to the top in the form of MEPs.

The bloke is a complete barnpot. This comment below is up there with sexual freedom being responsible for earthquakes.

"] He further claimed that: "there is a hypothesis that the attitudes of men are passed to women by way of the semen which penetrates the tissue... now when contraceptives are much more in use, the women become much more independent".[11"

It occurred to me that the EU can act as a means for (in my opinion) unsuitable people to have influence in the lives of people in Europe.

Nigel Farage also " floated " to the top to become an MEP.

You also have Marine Le Pen, who is also an MEP.

I don't want any of those people influencing policy in the uk.

The role seems to attract a certain type of undesirable, was my feeling.

They destroy their own platform, hopefully.

Like Nigel Farage did, his party have no chance of winning an election.

Without the EU to moan about, he has lost his influence and his platform.

I hope Marine Le Pen loses hers, too.

How does that work? If they are racist sexist and win why does the country that their supporters form become less facist sexist?

They don't win, that's the point.

You said ......

" 2. There isn't really a point to UKIP any more. If they couldn't win Stoke, where will they win, but more importantly why will they win? Their raison d'etre has gone, subsumed by May and events. They have little other than a ragbag of constantly changing policies with no coherence. "

Because it removes their platform and takes away their access to power.

The only reason Farage had a platform was because he was a MEP

it takes away them/UKIP winning by elections. It doesn't remove the point of racists and sexists. And they have been strengthened by the vote because like the Polish MEP they have something that they wanted.
