Just to note that the campaign for Californian independence from the USA has started in earnest. You may find the logo familiar.

More people who, when things don't go their way, take the huff

Maybe, maybe not.

However the California thing....

Is this a historical fight these people have been waging, decades of work and toil through the generations finally paying off, culminating in a chance to hold a referendum to free themselves from the shackles with which they have been bound for centuries.

Oh no, it is because they lost and Trump is President.

Which would mean you could never be justified in starting a movement for an exit since according to your post you have to already been doing it for centuries for it not to just be taking the huff.

Its a joke and you know it. If Hilary had won it would never have progressed as it has.

What's that got to do with your position on what constitutes a valid position for an exit being illogical?

Anyway, they should go for it, win and give the land they robbed from Mexico back.

For the record as a federalist at heart, I think this would be disappointing, and that the concentration should be to reform the electoral college system or have a completely rejigged system for the Presidential election as the election obviously makes the vote of a voter in California worth less than that of other states.

Also there have been secessionists movements in the past from California so it's not just the Trump election.

which then means that you haven't presented any argument at all.

I agree, let's give all stolen land in the US back to the indigenous people, bloody immigrants stealing land.

If Hillary had won it would be Texas that wanted its independence back.

You could say that about TX, but nobody sober would want to be Mexican rather than Texan.

(And YES I have lived in Texas)
