Leonard was in his 90s, so, I say with regret, and hoping I'm mistaken, may no longer be with us. He had an amazingly sharp mind for a man of that age. I wish him all the best, wherever he may be.

Yes, some just seemed to stop posting: I miss Synonym; Drygthon's Toe and Feelin' Blue and Lapsed Atheist hasn't posted for a while.... although I may have missed him as I don't have time to look-in here as much as I used to.

Agree about Leonard, as we have posted elsewhere we made a number of behind the scenes to contact him, but none have bern successful. We've been trying to tempt back Alien with offer of a formal debate between him and someone who would be a new member on a subject of Christian doctrine. Of all of the posters we have lost Prof W is the one I miss most.

Yes..SweetPea. Maybe you're right about Leonard.  I also miss Lapsed Atheist.....another mature poster.  Of course, I am not sure about Oak King and merciful-evans.  Sometimes people change their names...which also can be confusing.

I can't comment on Len, but my wife and I met and chatted with Horsethorn, Betty and Grantus Maximus very recently.

Now this is strange, because my memory is generally poor, but I remember merciful-evans saying he had joined the board to try and find-out more about the 'mystery of God'. He also posted that he had a specific date in mind as to when he would leave the forum, whether his questions had been answered of not... and he did.... his last 'farewell' post was on that very day. Why I remember that I really don't know, haha. I don't think he's returned under another name, though.
