Birds rodents and foxes will eat it.
Those who only come out at night will gather up the rolls, take them back to their caves & toast over an open fire to dip in their communal soup cauldron.

Like we wish to encourage rodents or foxes! :o

The dormouse & vole are rare species but can't pick and choose who will eat if rolls scattered; hedgehogs might eat them (tho i read that bread isn't good for their digestion). Foxes eat rodents so the rolls would serve a dual purpose, feeing animals and controlling vermin. If the foxes are full up of bread and mice they won't pester the farmer's chickens. Problem solved! No waste at all  ;D.

It is most concerning that our Leonard hasn't logged on since October. :(

As noted previously a  couple of times, we have tried various things to contact Leonard but with no result. Anyone with any ideas please feel free to PM mods with thoughts.

I too am sad not to see Leonard's posts any more.  He always felt like an old friend, as most of us date back to BBC days.

I did one of my artwork creations for him some years ago, he was kind enough to say he liked it. :)

Do you remember his surname? It began with a "W" I think, but I don't remember it. If you do probably best not to post it here, but he did once link to his website (the link was taken down shortly afterwards) so if you google his name possibly the site will still be up with some info on it?

Note the website is not up. As covered above, if any one has any suggestions, happy to receive and respond to PMs on this.

Do food banks take bread type stuff? Maybe packaged, longlife bread like Scher. Doubt they take unpackaged rolls.
They could be donated to a homeless drop in centre.

Sure you have heard of the 'phrase' " It takes a knob to know a knob".

I think we should be thankful that small things amuse small minds. But in the great scheme of things I am sure no knobs were hurt in the making of this thread and some knobs will even have been preserved.

But be sure whatever bank be it a holiday or otherwise. Knobs will continue in all walks of life and be appreciated by many more knobs before and after them.

Been a knobbing day for sure... But I understand Floo and I see your point. It is just knob one seems to be interested in
the more important things in life. Everyone be knob-bled for sure.

 ;) :)
