It's vile, what is particularly vile is the mentality of whoever put up such a page and what filthy barrels they scraped to find such pictures.
There are people who get a perverted kick out of such things and doubtless have a stock of pictures, magazines and videos detailing similar things, it's a type of pornography.

We all know there are nasty Muslims, nasty Christians, nasty Hindus, nasty Sikhs, nasty Jews. Westboro Baptists prime example.

There are also plenty of really good ones who don't subscribe to the most extreme interpretatoins of their scriptures.

The Nazis built up similar horrible things about Jews to justify their actions.

I note that amongst the Muslums putting anti fertility drugs in food, calling for Papuans to kill Canadians, the 'so called Christians' are worshipping penises, and hiring Hindu psychiatrists to torture Daryl. To answer your question Nick I have read theQ'ran, have copy in my bookcase*, and studied Islam among other religions.
You are trying to make a point, are you trying to warn all of us 'naive' people about what might happen if religious fundamentalists take over? We know!

We're all aware of the dangers of ISIS and the radicalisation of young people.

As for your cherry picked quotations from the Q'ran, we can cherry pick bits of the Bible too & doubltess scriptures from other religions. These writings were put down in a different age by people from a culture quite different to ours. Yes, some will still adhere to them in the belief that they are infallible but the majority don't.

The link yuo posted does not show an articulate argument, it;s the type of thing far right groups would cobble together to scare people.

Indeed, I mean it's not as if people endlessly go on about the Tories or Trump anything.

I think there is a distinction between Islam and Muslims. Many Muslims are good people despite Islam and the example of Mohammed.

As you say & some others here, there are excellent people calling themselves Muslims but, also as you say, they do it DESPITE Islam & the horrendous example set by the founder of this sect.

ALL NON-Muslims are inferior to ALL Muslims & should be treated as such. This is fact & is a basic tenet of Islam. Has anybody here actually studied Islam & the life of Mohammed.

Islam is for ALL people for ALL time, Islam brags, so we can all go off & marry 9 year old girls if you 'con'vert.

Trippymonkey this is indeed the Muslim topic & i am not going to check to see if you speak the same as you do here on non-Muslim forums but is the Muslim Topic forum supposed to be about speaking vile propaganda or is it about discussing interpretations of the Q'ran & Muslim life?

We have almost no Muslim posters here, it would help if we had a few instead of just one who posts occasionally. What is the 'Muslim Topic' without Muslim opinion? Yet I'm sure if any Muslims looked in they would not feel welcome. There's no respect.

Not too sure about that.
If you are born into a religion or, as Gabriella has, chosen it as your way of life, one must be prepared to explain it to anyone asking. How a person discusses it is up to them &, obviously, the person being asked.
One can just ignore it or it could be you really don't know enough about it to be able tell anyone.
One gets sick & tired of seeing all sorts of rubbish on places such as, but NOT exclusively, Facebook. I know many more places worse than that but I CAN discriminate. Honest !!!

I'm not one of those who sees incidents such as the recent bombings & then says ' let's go and hurt some Muslims'. I'm too well-read for that.
My experience has taught me that Muslims, too many, seem to know very little below the surface of their faith. Either that or they 'ignore' it so as not to upset the apple cart.
You must know what punishments are meted out to those who reject Islam & then go on to criticise it. I mean How very dare you ?!!?!?
I recall very clearly what happened when Salman Rushdie published The Satanic Verses & I'm pretty sure HE must've known too what would happen. Great publicity though, eh?

You are generalising again Nick. One Muslim is not responsible for nor can they explain the actions and thinking of another Muslim - each individual can only explain themselves and the way they interpret and practise Islam. Hence, the practice and interpretation of Islam varies considerably from community to community and individual to individual.

Salman Rushdie was being protected from the actions of individuals or a group who might take it upon themselves to kill him - people similar to the people carrying out attacks today. I have no Muslim friends or relations who were in the slightest bit interested in hurting him. Nor do they become violent or agitated if Prophet Mohamed is gratuitously insulted though they might feel hurt and feel sorry for people with they type of mentality to do that.

Publicity Salman Rushdie would rather have done without! Poor man, it took a chunk out of his life, his marriage broke up.
He'd been feted as a wonderful British author, educated here, lived here years, then the general public turned against him, calling him a foreigner and trouble maker. Thankfully those in the literary world did not.
