I think 'severely traumatised' is an exaggeration. It spoilt my childhood, but once I lost my faith I got over it. However, I will always challenged people who come out with that garbage, as there is no evidence to support it, and it can scare people.

I post on religious forums because I wish to challenge those who believe in the more extreme versions of Christianity, like the 'get 'saved' or go to hell' brigade, who seem to get off on condemning those who don't see it their way to hell. I see it as an abusive dogma, which scares children and the vulnerable. Yes it gave me nightmares as a child, but it has not caused me problems since I realised it has no credibility.

I do get fed up and irritated with those who take it upon themselves to explain to others what I am thinking and feeling!
