Or you don't take risks and you still die. I can see why there is a temptation to see this as ironic but that seems to miss that the arid deserts of published works are not the day to day vibrancy

elsewhere I am having a discussion on this about whether her 'consistency' is admirable in itself. My opinion is that it is not.

Is it a 'risk' to try to save a drowning child or is it some kind of instinct? Plenty of non-philosophers have drowned trying to doing the same thing.

Yes, I am unconvinced she thought 'oh look there's a child dying, I'm off to the pub. Mmm wait, I talk a lot about risk in philosophy, perhaps I should dive in and try to save them? Yeah, consisten...glug!'
