Shocking if this comes back

Well done the Anti-vaxxers of the goood old U S of A.

What, statistically, are the chances of it being brought over here by a returning tourist? I would hope that our (the U K's) vaccination rate would prevent the 'worst case scenario'.
The Holy Bible, probably the most diabolical work of fiction ever to be visited upon mankind.

As long as herd immunity is kept up, none. The issue is when herd immunity is lost, which the problem in the article then issues arise.

Well done the Anti-vaxxers of the goood old U S of A.
Let us not forget that they took their inspiration from British fraudster and ex doctor Andrew Wakefield.

The article is about the U S - I have not seen any comparable articles relating to the U K.

Have we got measles outbreaks causing problems over here?

The nationality of the medical wanker is irrelevant; it is the rank stupidity of the American's ability to take any subject, pro-life, gun-law, anti-vax, to its most illogical and stupid and, in this case, dangerous, conclusion.

Incredible that this goes on.

Is there the remotest posibility that this is a hoax? NO, I didn't think there was.

Surely this can't be for real, can it? :o
Unfortunately it's very real.

Poor child, that is so shocking! :o One can only suppose the parents were last in the queue when intelligence was handed out, otherwise they would have never gone along with that abuse.

There are lots of supposedly intelligent people out there doing stuff like this. It's deyperation and fear in many cases.

Yes, those who believe in 'alternative' solutions are often well educated and have the money to pay for this stuff.

There's an easy trope that vaccination denial is the left's climate change. It's a bit more complex but there is an amount of truth in that. The general feeling that capitalism is endemically corrupt and corrupting means that for a certain way of thinking all you need to do is stick 'Big' in front of something to make it bad.  There is a lot of sensible skepticism about what companies do but that same skepticism needs to be applied equally to people pushing 'alternatives' and that includes recognising that most of these 'alternatives' are vastly less regulated.

I had not looked at this topic before ... how really terrible that such things are done.
