I'll wait for it to actually happen - the decree allows them to get driving licenses by law, and to not need a guardian in the car, but they still need permission from their guardian to do either. It'll come down to whether the morality-police buy into it when it comes to enforcement, and they're not regarded as the 'liberal modernising force' that the King is claiming to be.

It is about time that country drags its self into the 21st century! Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world, which hasn't allowed women to drive!

Not a chance. They've too many centuries to leapfrog over to get to that point.
Pain, or damage, don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back. - Al Swearengen, Deadwood.

Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?

I recall reading, a few years ago, about a female American Air Force officer, stationed in Saudi Arabia, who did drive - in her uniform. If I recall correctly, she carried a gun (possibly a uniform requirement) and faced down Saudi religious police when they dared to challenge her.

I have been able to drive since I was 12 (we had a large property) and on the road since I passed my test at the age of 17. I am now 67 and have never had an accident when I have been driving, parking or speeding tickets. Admittedly the latter was more luck than judgement in my younger days! Women are no worse drivers than men and possibly better than many.

worse and better are not objective terms so what you have posted is meaningless
