It is with great regret that we have to announce that Oh So, Sassy tailed off in the 19.15 at Chelmsford

It was a great disappointment: the horse broke slowly, so was always struggling but did run on a little at the end, but all too late - still we look forward to its next run when, hopefully, the trainer will up the distance.

Looks like her form hasn't been too clever lately.
Time for her to be put out to grass maybe?

The horse has won 5 races - so we await her next race with confidence that will hopefully be rewarded.

Give the money to charity, a much safer bet.

You bet on a horse, you might get your money back or more. You give money to charity, your money is gone. So as a bet it is safe - you won't have the money.

Far better to give it to charity than line the pockets of the bookies, I doubt any of them are poverty stricken like some gamblers.

If i have a bet on a horse, I get fun and may get money back. If I give it to a charity then I get nothing and no chance of my money back. On a cost benefit analysis the gees gees are far better.

Not all gamblers are poverty-stricken though, just as not all who enjoy a drink are drunks.

Saw the race: it finished fast, and clearly had an abundance of dynamic energy.

Wss it carried faster by the centrifugal force going round the course?

No, but the gravitational distress slowed down the other horses. Only two days to go now ....
