Glad you enjoyed Susan!
(I watched Susan Calman again today and she was really good!)

I'll be sorry to see someone go again tonight as they are all so nice but - that's the way it goes and it's gonna get worse!

I miss Len. For many years, my wife and I have created this character that Len is actually a character from Minder occasionally seen in the Winchester Club referred to as Len the Dancer. Rarely speaking, you just see him in the background teaching other regulars some steps.

That sounds like Len! I really liked/like him too but things move on, still a great show.
I haven't watched tonight's ITT yet, will catch up on iplayer (hope there's not too much silliness).  It was lovely to see Natalie Lowe in choreography corner twice this week.

I've decided not to turn on the TV this evening to watch it. The way over the top Hallow'e'en style I find really silly.

I don't like the Halloween stuff either which I  think is silly and childish. I'll probably watch it tho'.

I watched all of yesterday's ITT which was good show with no silliness and games.  Loved panel.

Thought after the show on Saturday that Aston and Mollie could be in the bottom two, and that if it happened he was most likely to go because she had made an obvious mistake that could be avoided. That said I though Ruth's dance while funny was awful. Best of the night for me was Davood who, after a lot of meh dances, delivered a proper American Smooth with a stunning lift. My one disappointment in Aston going was his Paso of the previous week would have been a great dance in the final.

It was sad to see Aston go but I felt his Viennese Waltz was below his usual standard and, as you said, Mollie's mistake was correctable, she otherwise danced beautifully.  When they did the dance off Mollie was the better of the two so the verdict was fair - in my opinion.

Agree with you about Davood, he was amazing on Saturday.

I loved Ruth and Anton's paso!  I could watch it over and over, not surprised they got the public vote.

The fault sadly is not Astons. It is the  choreographer/production team who thought it would be a good idea to go jackson 5 on a viennese waltz. Dreadful decision for which Aston suffered. A shame as the boy had talent.

Yes, they do get it wrong sometimes, it's happened in previous series. Regardless of that, Craig's score of 4 was ludicrous, I also expect Aston's fans who didn't bother to vote for him have red faces. He's a smashing chap, he'll be fine, onwards and upwards.

Another good show tonight. Davood continues to do well. Think two out of Jonny, Ruth and Mollie will be in dance off but the show is full of surprises.

The lovely Jonnie is out but didn't he do well (to coin a phrase)?
Gemma, Mollie and Joe were great last night.

Viewers are being a bit harsh on Alexandra Burke for her forced tears, she is only puttin' on the style a bit, this ain't the days of Peter West.

I haven't seen any forced tears. How can you force tears anyway?

Anyway watched second episode of Howards End on iplayer last night and am completely entranced, can't wait for next week's.

Is that the sequel to Howards Way?

Susan has gone but, boy, she really did well & was great fun.

Just put episode 3 of 'Howards End' on iplayer, something I've been looking forward to all week and, thanks to you, HWB, I kept inputting 'Howards Way' before realising my mistake! >:(

Such a quality production with a superb band with equally superb singers, the obvious skill employed making the beautiful costumes and dresses for all of the performers.

The nearest I can get to describe my feelings about the audience behaviour on 'Strictly' would be, if I spent a hundred pounds plus to see and hear a similar show, I would be thinking I didn't pay to hear Mr & Mrs Whoever screaming and clapping for some strange reason or to have them doing sudden irrational random stand ups?

I'm sure this behaviour is encouraged by those that put the show on but it would be good and make the show so much more enjoyable if the audience were to ignore them and behave in a civilised manner.

Funny you should say that ippy, my mum and mother-in-law, who are great fans, say much the same about the audience. It doesn't bother me but apparently a lot of people find it a bit annoying. It doesn't spoil it though, really, does it? You're right that the audience are encouraged to make a fuss!

I think it spoils it, it take the edge off of an otherwise excellent programme for me, I would imagine the Americans would behave in a similar manner but without the need to prompt them but then again we're not Americans, Are we?

I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one to complain, if you could be bothered to complain, ippy, and they might tone it down a bit. It doesn't bother me one way or the other, I love the show, but I've heard what you said on more than one occasion.

I think of the way they organise the Albert Hall classical performances where even if anyone has a persistant cough a steward will tap the offender on the sholder and guide them outside to stop them disturbing the performance.

If you see something similar going on when watching 'Strictly', you'll be able to say that's ippy from that blog page I do on the internet, that is until someone knocks my lights out, but it'd be worth it, perhaps I'll put my peaked cap on and carry a tick board, yes, that's it, that ought to sort them out, perhaps trousers with a red stripe down the sides too, yes.

I have my T V wired to my hi fi system, believe me these people, the band and singers are so good when you can hear them.

Ippy, I've heard, and read, many negative comments about the Albert Hall and its accoustics. Never stopped me enjoying things I've been to there but I'm no expert. Coughing happens everywhere, I was at the Coliseum once and started coughing. I went out for a little while, felt dreadful at disturbing everyone.

Anyway, 'chavvy' or not Strictly is over for another year. I absolutely loved the final, one of the best. Now bereft that there will be no more until late next year.  We have the Christmas special but that, though great fun, is not the same.
My 'fav' didn't win but I thought Joe McFadden was great and a worthy winner - I'd had a feeling that Debbie might take the glitter ball but was wrong.  Alexander rules as far as I'm concerned but all contestants were great this year.

I agree that Alexandra was the best but Joe probably had the steepest learning curve and was a worthy winner.

I thought that this series wasn't as good as some of the other series mainly because there were too many celebrities who were, to put it mildly, pretty ordinary or poor dancers. However, after having said that, I thought the final was outstanding. I thought there was little to choose between the four couples, and, for me, Katya's choreography in each of their numbers was one deciding factor. Another deciding factor was, as has been mentioned, the superb progress that Joe had made throughout the competition. A third factor was the fact that Alexandra had been choreographed by one of the judges for her part in a stage musical previously, which should have made this judge's input null and void. For me the most outstanding dance on the night was the Argentine Tango. I also think that Alexandra was superb at the beginning of the series, but didn't really show any improvement as the series went on. I believe that Joe and Katya were worthy winners. Just personal opinions, you understand, as are those of everyone else. :)
