isle with her on our wedding day. I'm talking about a tiny lucky teddy she hid under her dress . Did you or your partner have any lucky charms hidden about their person on your 'special day'?

"isle"? Of Skye? Of Wight?

Oh, and isn't a "teddy" an item of ladies' underwear by the way? Good to know it was both tiny and lucky though - lucky for you presumably  8)

A teddy can look very pretty and maybe give a smooth, streamlined effect but always strikes me as a bit unhygienic for long term use.  No I wore a bra and pants under my wedding dress, a smooth bra and no VPL pants which were quite attractive and sufficient.

I have never heard the word 'teddy' used in connection with an article of clothing, what is it?

Seriously? I'd google (or possibly go ogle) it for you, but I'm afraid my wife might catch me!

I didn't know those ghastly looking things were called a 'teddy', I would never in a million years have worn anything like that!

When I bought my wedding lingerie I purchased a long 1930's style chiffon nightdress, among other things <ahem>.

The assistant in the shop said, 'oh that is lovely, and you know that you will never bump into anyone else wearing the same one.'

She was right, too.

My mother was in charge of my wedding dress as I have never been interested in dressing up. It was elegant without being fussy, which I would have hated. If it had been left to me I would have walked down the aisle in jeans and T shirt.   ;D When my daughters married they dragged me off to buy clothes for their weddings as they didn't trust me not to turn up in said jeans and T shirt. ;D

Rhiannon's wedding outfit sounds cool.   Bet she didn't wear a teddy though!)
