I read stories about him and the girls in his flat years ago. I never thought that he wasn't straight!

No doubt about that!
I knew there were rumours about him but Hazel O'Connor always seemed to have credibility so I'm inclined to believe her.

On the Benny Hill front, as regards his sexuality, this article is an interesting read (from an interesting website about 20th century London - well worth a browse).
