Very best Christmas wishes to everyone.

Pain, or damage, don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back. - Al Swearengen, Deadwood.

Can you believe this ?

People I only met yesterday who realised I was going to be on my own today (I'm staying in their field), have just brought out a tray complete with Christmas dinner and two gifts beautifully wrapped . Actually brought a tear of joy to my eye .

Aren't some people wonderful!

Was wondering the same, Susan!  No doubt Walter will enlighten us in due course, bless him.
Hope everyone's having a good time (or at least a reasonable time), I'm taking a few minutes for myself, my parents and in-laws are watching telly in another room (Call the Midwife), I'll join them.  Everyone else is laughing raucously in sitting room!

I feel full up but haven't eaten that much really. Being veggie has been no problem, I eat all the trimmings including really nice cheesy sausages wrapped in pretend bacon!

It's been a good day so far. My youngest daughter's boyfriend has just popped over so I'm off to greet him and one of my nephews' girlfriends - who is hilarious, always guaranteed to make us laugh.

curiosity killed the cat?  thank god for that , I've been on the run for the last eight and half years!

actually I have been travelling all that time , mainly in Britain in my motorhome but try to get away to warmer climes during the winter such as Florida, New Zealand and Australia where I continue to travel and explore.
I was unable to take a long haul flight this year having had hip replacement surgery in October but plan to visit my daughter who lives in Brisbane sometime in March . I plan to continue my journey around Queensland Outback after staying with her and her husband and my 4 year old grandchild, I cant wait .

You sound as though you are truly a free spirit, Walter!  Quite exciting.
Glad you had some good food and cheer this Christmas.
Some of 'mine' have gone home, the rest still chatting - and eating.
I'm tired but it has been a good day.
My sister is casually hosting tomorrow but I won't be up early.

forgot to mention , they've also allowed me to use their own personal Wi-Fi which I can just about detect on my laptop at a distance of around 80metres from their house.

thank you for your reply. I do like to know what's what, and what's going on, you know! :)

I had a phone call the other day from a friend who lives on the outskirts of Brisbane.

Hi SusanDoris

Brisbane is a fabulous modern city with some very interesting and harrowing history . I particularly like the riverfront experience of bars and restaurants and museums with open air swimming and family beach areas, a piece of paradise.

If you , or anyone else would like to ask me any questions about my lifestyle or places I've visited over the last eight and half years, Id be happy to answer if I can

best wishes
Walter

I'm always interested in travel, since I have done a fair amount myself. Perhaps we should have a topic on this?

Christmas is over and done with for another year, I hope you all had a good one. We had a pleasant family time.

I have put all the decorations away; it is good to be back to normal. :)

It was very good here on Christmas Day and at sister's yesterday. We didn't stay until late last night, took parents and in laws home about 9pm and then came home ourselves - our girls there with their cousins 'til about 1am I think.

Had a good lie in this morning! Lovely. Could happily snuggle under the duvet all day today. Just before waking I was dreaming about Donald Trump of all people!!!

Hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as possible - it is nice to be back to normal though.

I am talking about what is normal for my husband and I. I don't think your 'normal' would suit me, especially if over indulgence of alcohol is involved. ;D
your last sentence is rather odd, why did you mention overindulgence of alcohol?
