Boris' new bridge

But what would be the point? It would only go to the EU. Why doesn't Boris campaign for a new bridge across the Atlantic?

And anyway, post Brexit, most of Kent would need to be given over to Customs and Immigration posts, HGV inspection facilities and internment camps for illegal immigrants.
Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?

It sounds like a crazy idea to me. Apart from the huge cost involved, it would be a target for terrorists, and  dangerous in stormy weather.

Let's not do anything new ever. It's all too expensive or dangerous.

So you don't mind that although the NHS is in dire straights, tax payer's money will no doubt go to fund this project if it gets the go ahead?

The NHS is funded through taxation. Tax revenues increase when the GDP goes up. Infrastructure projects like this increase GDP. What's not to like?

"Straits". That apart, for once I agree with you - the idea is ludicrous. However, if we really want to divert tax to the NHS, education, social services, and other worthwhile things, we could scrap our nuclear weapons and the submarines that carry them, which at best will never be used.
