Which party would he join, he is not a socialist so rules Labour out.

I can't read the article because it is paywalled, but I assume he would start a new one.

The Labour party contains socialists, but it is not an exclusively socialist party.
I once tried using "chicken" as a password, but was told it must contain a capital so I tried "chickenkiev"
On another occasion, I tried "beefstew", but was told it wasn't stroganoff.

Difficult to see him finding a welcome from Momentum though.

Would the Labour Party be in its present condition if David Milliband had become leader instead of his brother?
Does Magna Carta mean nothing to you? Did she die in vain?

I think David Milliband would make a good leader of the Labour Party, better than his brother, Ed, and a million times better than Corbyn. I think with him as leader they would stand a good chance of winning an election.

I was thinking the same thing. We may well have not had this appalling government that we do now.

It would be much worse if Corbyn was in charge. :o

No, I think it would have won the 2015 election. Or, if it had lost and David Miliband had survived,, Remain would have won the referendum, or if it had lost, the Tories would have been annihilated in the 2017 election - well,, actually, the 2017 election wouldn't have happened because Labour would have a lead in the opinion polls.

Some wag once said of him that his main problem was that he was the Milliband who wasn't David, and the Ed who wasn't Balls. I wonder what their grandfather Glenn would make of it.

Any labour wannabe is going to have to get there all by themself and even if they manage to fashion out a version of labour they then have to overcome the Englishperson's and the posh scotsperson's innate hatred of labour.

There is no Heir to Blair.

Certainly not for you if you see Corbyn as a hypocritical antitheist.

David Milliband is a self exile in the most lyrical and poetic sense. He was the brother across the sea so as not to queer Ed's pitch but took another three years sabbatical ensuring he is unlikely to have a heroes return, a Bonny Prince Charlie moment at any time that counts.

The only time the so called heirs to Blair are heard from when themselves and the press allow them to sing.
