The Moon's a Balloon - David Niven

(As an aside, is it me, or is balloon a really strange word, that gets stranger the longer you look at it)

That thought prompted this search:

The other week my husband and I discovered among our many books, a couple we had given to each other when we were teenagers.

I gave him, 'Beware of the Abbot', by Hugh Burnett

And he gave me 'Birds, Bees and Storks', by Hoffnung

Both books are very amusing. :D

On the aside it is an odd word but now I have the idea of a buffoon in a balloon

...and why not?  The idea of going up in a balloon terrifies me. I'd have to be sedated to do it.
