Well he could have not buggered it up before that?
I think it is well beyond his power to go back in time and undo that train wreck.
So he should be sacked for causing it. He should resign for being a dangerous fuck up.
Yes, but for some unfathomable reason, he is still in post. We have to deal with reality as it is, not as we would wish it to be.
So no post should argue for what anything different? Confused about your point.
I took your thread to be suggesting that the foreign secretary is doing nothing and should be doing something so I asked what should he do. Unfortunately, your first suggestion involved going back in time which is a bit unrealistic and your second suggestion involved Johnson resigning from his job which is extremely unrealistic. If we limit ourselves to talking about the reality with which we are faced, what can he do?
Immediately declaring that Trumpnis an idiot? Continually declaring that Trump is fuck all to do with UK policy and he disassociated the UK from him?
That would certainly be a start.
I suspect that Boris Johnson imagines that he is still in with a chance as May's successor as leader of the Conservative Party. Hence he behaves in a way that he believes is not rocking any boats. This means not upsetting Donald Trump. Theresa May, having nailed herself to her own cross with her "Brexit means Brexit" slogan is desperate not to do anything which which will undermine her "strong and stable" image. She is terrified of the consequence of sacking Johnson.
