Technically, I think Conte's sacking belongs to last season. Most of us are astonished he lasted this long.

West Ham are really going for it in the transfer market this summer. I'm excited. Now Filipe Anderson has joined from Lazio for about 40 million sovs.
Peace through superior firepower.
Do not believe anything until the Kremlin denies it.

How on earth are we affording this?

It's a combination of things. I think we will sell a few players so that our net spend drops a bit. Pellegrini wanted to buy first. Plus I think the owners put aside some money for the right manager.

Ozil stops his international career because of way treated by the DFB. This could turn ugly.

Is that Robert Green signing for Chelsea? I only ask because when I tried to follow your link, I was told the BBC is down.

Indeed it is, on both counts, I've just discovered.

Collectively West Ham fans are pointing at West London and laughing til their sides need corsets.

Personally I think this treats Scottish football way too seriously

And as I have covered before, Tony Visconti swore to me one night that Bowie had used Queen's Park and their nickname The Spiders as inspiration for the Spiders from Mars after attending a couple of games at Hampden.

And as I have covered before, Tony Visconti swore to me one night that Bowie had used Queen's Park and their nickname The Spiders as inspiration for the Spiders from Mars after attending a couple of games at Hampden.

You're right: and I offer three pieces of convincing evidence in support.

1. I once knew a NHS physiotherapist, and to safeguard Neil's identity we'll call him 'Bob', who was the physio at Queen's Park many years ago and he confided that Queen's Park had a mystery benefactor whose identity would surprise everyone were it to become known. Now, Bob often gave my son and I free tickets, no doubt in an effort to get the attendance into double figures, and I certainly recall a slight figure (obviously male) sitting away from everyone else (not hard to do by the way) who always wore a duffel coat with the hood up and he also always wore sunglasses (even in a West of Scotland winter's day) - just sayin'.

2. Most will know that Queen's Park play at Hampden but those familiar with Glasgow will know Hampden is located in the Mount Florida area of Glasgow - which starts with an 'M', as does Mars!

3. Hampden is often busy when there a big games, and parking there is problematic - however, when Queen's Park play there are no such problems: you can just drive right in, even on a Saturday - and one of Bowie's best know songs is 'Drive in Saturday'! Coincidence I hear you say - but what are the chances of that!

A world class manager, a director of football, and ten new players. What a summer for West Ham.

There was enough good in the game against Arsenal to give me mych hope. Sanchez as CDM was key, I think. We deserved much more from that game and were the better team for the most part. A very lucky second goal for Arsenal.

West Ham's demise at the Emirates comes as a relief to me. Before that, we were only one place above the relegation zone.

Just keep repeating, at least I don't support Man U...works for me.
