I've given up even trying to explain these facts to most people, all they seem to be interested in is how Game of Thrones will play out, or where they can get the cheapest meal/drink, presumably so they can obesetise themselves into oblivion.

7's not true, for starters: the Grauniad is owned by the Scott Trust.

It's a good rant, but it's bollocks without some context. Also, some of the points are misleading or false. Others seem somewhat unlikely to me but I can't verify them because the author does not tell us what his sources are. As far as we know, he might as well have pulled them out of his arse.

Nice rant, but wrong. For example, Scottish Water was not sold to private ownership. We still own it.
"for, as long as but a hundred of us remain alive, never will we on any conditions be brought under English rule. It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom - for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself."

More members of the cabinet attended the same private school than have used the NHS in the last decade

How is that even a statistic that is in the public domain?

The original Tweeter was challenged to provide his sources:

Apologies, I'm muting this now. Very busy, no time to debate or repeatedly supply references. I recommend a service called "Google". Thanks.

Translation: he doesn't have any sources.
