Interesting, if, insome places, way over the top of my poor pig-ignorant head, but the bits I could understandd were interesting.

Question: Would you care to name those on this Forum who, according to the article ,qualify as 'Arseholes', it being a given that I personally so qualify?
The Holy Bible, probably the most diabolical work of fiction ever to be visited upon mankind.

An it harm none, do what you will; an it harm some, do what you must!

Didn't read the whole thing, but from what I gathered doesn't it all boil down to manners? Being an arsehole displays no manners.

No I don't think it does. There are plenty of arseholes with perfectly good manners. Michale Gove and Boris Johnson are two that spring to mind.

In the context of the example given at the beginning of the article is most certainly boils down to manners.

Nope.

You can do what the author did whilst using perfect manners.

Maybe I think of manners in a much broader sense than you do then. It's not just about saying please and thank you or holding doors open for people. It's also includes recognising how to act around different types of people, not deliberately embarrasing others etc. In otherwords not being a dick.

I have noted, however, that this has not restrained you from using some fairly robust language on this forum when addressing a poster you thought was not being entirely honest and straightforward. The epithet I particularly remember you using was "cock-sucker". Jeremy was wont to tell the same poster to fuck off. I couldn't help but agree with both of you.
"De mortuis nihil nisi bonum", well, maybe.

I've never claimed to be the pinnacle of good manners.

that’s the internet for you.

I don’t claim to have either good manners or not be an arsehole when on it.
