Think he's missing the point

What point do you think he was missing? He's characterised feminism in a pretty insulting way, but I don't see what the point is you think he is missing.

He's also been somewhat naive because this was in a meeting about sexual abuse within the Catholic church and he was defending the idea of allowing a woman to make a speech about sexual abuse in the Catholic Church and now the story is not about how the Church is combatting sexual abuse but how he is anti-feminist.

I also found it quite amusing since he was probably wearing something that looks like a dress when he made the comment.

Smacks of saying that woman doing the role of a man but she has no right because of her sex to speak out on these matters. I could be wrong but an insult whichever way you look.
All this from a person who wrongly  believes he Gods advocate on earth.
Typical of a man who feels threatened by a woman who speaks out about things for which he is incapable to answer.

As Mrs Brown said:  "If you don't play the game then don't make the feckin rules."

In Christ men and women are equal partners. In the world a woman has the right to speak out against evil whatever guise it wears.

The pope would do better addressing the issues of evil and putting an end to it within their denomination. Actions speak louder than words. In his case it is " All talk and No ACTION."

Maybe he should start wearing a skirt.
