Saw her at the Met in New York once, on a half price ticket. Was utterly brilliant.

I never saw her in the flesh, but I do recall her in a televised Prom as the soloist in Mahler 4. Instead of sitting on the platform waiting to sing, she entered at the end of the third movement. The audience went wild.
