Probably not a great surprise, it's been in trouble for a while.

Iceland's 'Hot and Spicy Double Pepperonie', (Nitromoores), can on occasions take the lining off of your mouth!

If you're trying to burn off some paint and you get a particularly stubborn patch difficult to remove, well need I say any more?

Regards, ippy.

P S, Don't forget to check the life insurance before buying.

As someone who has spent a lot of time in hotels with work, and then eating Billy No Mates style, Pizza Express has been a reliable spot for many years. That said, I think it suffered with the expansion, and the pasta dishes weren't great in recent times. Very worrying times for the employees.

My understanding is that Pizza Express is owned by a Chinese company who bought it from a private equity company. Its financial problems result from the debt to the private equity company being serviced at very high interest rates.

Not a company we have ever used, in fact we have never a had a meal delivered to our door. On the rare occasions we have a takeaway, I will pick it up myself.

It's not a takeaway based business - you can get a takeaway from it  but its main business is restaurants

I've been into their restaurants from time to time and found them to not be the cheapest of places but the pizzas really suited my taste they're of a very good standard.

Yep, I always found them pretty reliable, and when you are not necessarily aware of local restaurants when you are away for work, that's important. I must have been eating in them for well over 30 years, and I felt they did lose a bit with the expansion. As HH has raised this seems to be a factor of the deal with the private equity company.
