What types of Swiss army knives are there? I've only ever seen one basic type, the tools vary a bit. Very useful they are too, people always had them at one time.

Basic laws on knives
It is illegal to: ... Carry a knife in public without good reason unless it's a knife with a folding blade 3 inches long (7.62 cm) or less, eg a Swiss Army knife. Carry, buy or sell any type of banned knife. Use any knife in a threatening way (even a legal knife, such as a Swiss Army knife).
There are umpteen ttypes available - fakes as well as genuine articles.
Victorinox, IMO, make the best. The most modern ones have built in USB sticks, etc, and the basics have the two blades plus afile. I use the SwissChamp, which has fifty functions, from two different types of screwdriver, two saws, file magnifiere, bottle opener, tin opener, pliers, scissors, two blades, pen, tweezers, etc. I've had it since I wasv a young Boys' Brigade officer, and many a scrape it's got me out of.
Incidentally, Victorinox offer a lifetime guarantee and free servicing on every model.
A fantastic gadget to have around (and, no; I'm not on commission!)
