Duran Duran - Danse Macabre
Saw them performing on the Graham Norton Show, and it was mentioned that it was Simon Le Bon's birthday. He's 65. I'd earlier seen a picture of a young Frank Sinatra who was 65 when Duran Duran had their first hit, Planet Earth. Age seems different now, not least because the difference in my own.
The video is very good. It makes me wonder if the technology is now at the stage where stop motion, that is the obvious influence, particularly Jan Svankmajer and the Brothers Quay, might be completely superseded but then it's the vinyl of animation formats.
I've always quite like Duran Duran but given Andy Taylor's prostate cancer, and my own and Gordon's experience of it, I feel more affinity with them.
