I was never a particular fan of her music but I posted that link because it is a 'special tribute' link.

She did have a most amazing voice though with incredible range and power. Paul Gamber(can't spell his name!), I'm sure you know who I mean, was saying this morning that she is a cousin of Dionne Warwick. I can now see a similarity in looks and voice. Her mother Cissy Houston was a gospel singer, so she certainly came from a line of great vocalists.
