I love music and am almost always playing something on the player.  These are some that I play over and over again - daily!

Fleetwood Mac (almost any of them) but this especially http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ul-cZyuYq4

The Eagles - one of my favourite tracks http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AEzTdBJUHO8

The best band of all time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mso2g8lBGAQ&feature=related   and also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPwy9ToKHpo

I guess I should stop now

Thankee  :)

Vielleicht Das Nachste Mal - beautiful track.  I'm so glad I was born when I was so that I could appreciate this type of music.

What about: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O0SVPkXfZ8E

I'm not putting any links now with footage of dear Rickie or I'll be having some of those lucid dreams that are being discussed on another thread ;D

I have this playing on youtube as we speak: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkADj0TPrJA

I knew I shouldn't have looked at that clip janie - they all look too young to be in a band and now I feel really old  :'( ;D

Yes, but not as well as I'd like.  I can master Veiss Heim and most of Blackmore's electric instrumentals.  Over the past year or so I've been teaching myself the more accoustic songs, Durch Den...,  Possum goes to Prague etc.  I think I'll be about 90 before I get to grips with the latter.

That's still impressive that you can do that.  I've just youtubed those bands - they're all so young too!! Geez.  Back to the old guys lol  The only link I have to music production is my son - he writes and produces music for others (he will also provide lyrics if pushed). this is his latest (he's into hip hop and R&B) and I was not happy he'd put this up on youtube for collaboration as it could have sold quite well if he'd bothered to finish it! I envy his talent too.  (Third Leg refers to the Isle of Man symbol btw - I don't think he'd thought that one through  ;) ) .  I can't say hip hop or R&B is my stuff but this one of his I really like: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CLnJXPM4_pk&feature=mfu_in_order&list=UL

There's a real nod to the Dooby brothers about the first tune.  I'm with you on the Hip-hop thing - just leaves me cold.  Must be middle age setting in.

The strange thing is URBT - when he writes this stuff, I have to smile as I can hear a lot of Rainbow stuff (he grew up listening to all that) in much of the things he does (not posted on youtube as they're up for sale) - I daren't mention it or he'll change it  ;)

I refuse to accept it's middle-age! Our taste in music is more (ahem) refined ...

Most folk here seem to be into some pretty vintage stuff, and mostly of the rock(ish) genre, not a bad thing, but just for a change of pace, let me test the waters and see if these resonate with anyone:

Nina Simone - Nobody's Fault But Mine
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eb9agQrObSU

Bobby Womack - Across 110th Street
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qmc9tDky9B4

Bobby Womack - That's The Way I Feel About 'Cha
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uyt106EA9w0

B.B. King - Hold On (Couldn't find the album version, but no matter, it was watching this perfomance on BBC 4 that brought it to my attention anyway)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Saux0PpskGE

John Martyn - Dealer

Erm - I appreciate some modern stuff - just not a lot of it  ;)

the Bobby Womack 'That's The Way I Feel About 'Cha' I have just linked to my son - that's just the sort of thing he uses to get his imagination going!

Okay -  more recent stuff - sorry but I really like Lady Gaga.  I think I may have lost some credibility now  :(

When you like rock so much, it's hard for other stuff to stand up to it.

I have been known to like a fair bit of reggae in my youth but that's going to be dated as well.

Off to the rocking chair I go!

Out of curiosity, What leaves you cold about it? is it the content or the format?

Sorry for insinuating you didn't appreciate modern stuff, just slightly felt lost in the midst of all that power rock (if that's what it can be called? :-\), and so felt relieved at someone liking the Arctic Monkeys

now when you say liked reggae, are we talking bob marley or you also like a bit of the chaka demus and pliers type of stuff?

either way, may I take this opportunity to bring up Maxi Priest - Close To You
