One for the night-owls (perhaps?). Nice to listen to anyway, while you're hoping to drop to sleep.

The Da Vinci Code OST - Chevaliers de Sangreal (Hans Zimmer):

I came across this one, it's the song from which "Mas Que Nada" developed ( I did put an uptempo version of the latter on this site a few months ago in an attempt to cheer Keith up a bit. It obviously did not work).

Sergio Mendez's version reminds me of the beach, this reminds me of the rainforest.

Ian Dury and the Blockheads - Blockheads, Live with Wilko Johnson

Good news about Wilko, Prof.

I first saw him live when Dr Feelgood were at the Glasgow Apollo in 1976. It wasn't long after they released Malpractice - and they (and he) were just brilliant.

Wilko Johnson, Roger Daltrey - I Keep It To Myself

Oh, this is good, and two of my favourite artists.

Wilko has done sooo well having been given only months to live, over a couple of years ago. He had pioneering surgery on the cancer (think I'm right there) some time this year.

Great harmonica on this too..... a little competition there, Paul Jones.

It must have been quite unexpected, he was booked to play a gig at the end of December in our village hall. The posters are still up!

Yes, surgery was back in April,  now he says he's been cured. Great news.
Feel a bit cheated as I saw him just a few months ago on what I assumed would be his really, really farewell tour. ;)

He was great and certainly didn't look like a man at death's door.

As if Wilko hasn't been through enough pain and suffering in recent years he now is embroiled in this:

His vocals and bass playing were integral to Cream. I do hope he and Ginger remained on good terms and that their reunion in 2005 meant something to both of them. He had frequent bust ups with fellow musicians and was known to sabotage others equipment - musicians huh!!!!!. A great loss. I saw him with his blues rock band  West, Bruce & Laing at uni in Leeds in the early seventies, but can't remember much about it now. Expect to see Cream hit the download charts again.

A bit of a lullaby for the night-owls:

Tonight ~ Chris Keys

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bpjEhjWe08Y

Chris is an Irish singer-songwriter..... rather 'the lad next-door' me thinks.

(Btw.... a crime has been committed. Prof W. Has stripped this thread of his contributions. :o
Shock, horror! Prof, it you're looking in...... your contributions created 2/3 of this thread. You gave us the most interesting, sometimes diverse (for me, anyway) pieces of music around. And no, I have not forgotten the 'mole music'...... heaven help us!)

Has Prof W gone?  That's a shame; I noticed he kept making very negative comments about the forum.

Yes, he has gone. He had some personal issues to deal with that he didn't want to discuss here, and I believe any negative comments were about the behaviour of some posters rather than about the forum itself. With a bit of luck he'll be back when he's ready.
