For Elevenses. He shared this song more than once. I said it found it schmaltzy.

Not today.

In a very surreal week, this song has been a constant mindworm

Songs can sometimes change lives, this one changed mine, it was the right choice at the right time - took me too long to work that out

Does anyone know the work of Sia, the Australian singer?  I was idly watching the Voice, and she came on, and blew a hole in tv set.  An amazing voice, I can't give a link as on a phone, but it's called Elastic Heart.

Sia Furler. Been around for some years now - the first time I ever heard of her IIRC was with a song called 'Buttons.'

As you say: a remarkable voice. I don't watch The Voice but for no reason I can think of happened to catch that performance last night. Ridiculous outfit. But, the all-important thing, a strong, powerful and stirring voice.
Pain, or damage, don't end the world. Or despair, or fucking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man, and give some back. - Al Swearengen, Deadwood.

Cheers, Shaker.   She has a few albums out, so I will sample a bit.   The closest voice I can think of is Gaga.

Well done, keeping this thread going, Nearly.... the Prof may yet return, who knows....
