The return of Spitting Image
« on: August 05, 2020, 03:08:26 PM »
As seen elsewhere - Spitting Image unveils  Boris puppet, Kremlin replies their Boris puppet has been working Inside No 10 for over a year.

Not sure that this sort of satire can be as effective as it was, but interesting that it's being released on Britbox

It has been alleged Prince Andrew groped one of Epstein's sex slaves using a spitting image puppet of himself. :o

Not sure about the Boris puppet but they've nailed Dominic Cummings.

I don't think Boris's puppet is a good image of him at all, but the Cumming puppet is an excellent likeness.

I think the Boris puppet is spot on. I hope Jeremy Corbyn, Diane Abbott and Sadiq Khan feature, used to be quite an accolade to have a spitting image puppet in your, er, image. Only thing about Sadiq is they'll make him even tinier than he is, maybe standing on someone's shoulders.

Alex Salmond, Nicola Sturgeon? Trump of course and Angela Merkel.

Can't wait.

Grouch reporting in here.

Never found it funny. As satire it felt too coarse to me, it was more like blunt sarcasm.

In short, didn't enjoy it.

Loved it at the time,  but not sure if it will go down well today.

I enjoyed it but didn't like it when it was blatantly unkind e.g.David Steele being a tiny extension of David Owen.

This is a classic-

I remember the royals were treated with all of the respect they deserve by that prog.

Hope this continues in the new version

That actually seriously affected people's view of David Steele. He was the same height as David Owen but everybody thinks of him as being much smaller.

Yes but I didn't like it when they did 'the president's brain is missing'.

They would be correct about that where that idiot, Trump, is concerned. >:(
