This depends entirely upon the person being consulted.

Any reader worth their salt would not make any comment based upon their reading of the cards that would cause the 'Read To' any kind of discomfort or other negative reaction.

Aside from anything else, a bad result will result in a non-return and therefore loss of the reading fee - £2 - when I last consulted one.
